Partner or Plagiarist? Generative AI and Writing for Researchers...and the Rest of Us

I created this video to delve into the fascinating question: How are people using tools like ChatGPT in their writing processes, and what does that mean for how we learn to write and research? This interactive session, led by Stacey Pigg, Professor of Technical and Scientific Communication and Director of Graduate Programs at NC State University, explores real-world examples of both students and expert writers incorporating generative AI into their work.

Through video examples and discussions, we examine how to use AI tools like ChatGPT in ways that are ethical, effective, and transformative for writing and research. Fun fact: even the intro and outro song for this video were AI-generated!
